Guidelines for Commenting

This website is designed as an online space for students to share their work. Publishing work to a real audience encourages young writers to consider audience needs and to pay attention to details such as punctuation and spelling.

Our young writers welcome encouraging comments that help them to grow as writers. They like to hear the things that you enjoyed about their writing and constructive suggestions as to how they can improve their writing skills.

To protect their own privacy, our students use minimal personal information to identify themselves. They are learning to be careful about sharing their personal details and as such, will publish their work using their first name only. If you are a relative of one of our students, we ask that you assist our students in protecting their privacy by not including any surnames in your comments or your name. It is best to identify yourself using a relationship, such as “Xavier’s Mum”, instead of using your family name. If you are a visitor to our blog from outside of Brisbane, our students would love to know where you are from. It is very exciting to receive a comment from someone in another city, state or country.

This is a moderated blog. This means that any posts and comments must be approved by a teacher at Good News Lutheran School before they are published and made accessible to our students and other readers.

Please take the time to read some of our writing and to leave a comment. Your contribution really helps our writers to grow their learning.
