One day I saw a Garden Shop. I went over to the shop and had a look at the plants. At 1 o’clock I had lunch and I ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and then bought 9 tulips for my garden. After that, I bought 10 flowers for my wife to put inside. I went home and spoiled my wife with the 10 flowers.
I enjoyed reading your story because you chose to write from the point of view of one of the characters in the painting. This is very clever. I could feel a connection with the character and understand things from his point of view.
When writing a story, authors usually use the number name (like “five”) instead of the numeral (such as “5”). In maths problems we tend to write the numeral, but not in stories.
I wish I was the wife in your story, being spoilt with such beautiful flowers!
Great punctuation, Annabel. I liked how you indicated the type of sandwich you were eating and the type of flowers you were buying.
